"The deciding factor why I came to Monmouth was that "feeling" that is was the right thing to do, the right place to go, the right direction to take in my life. It was mostly personal and based on my emotions rather than about the physical appeal of the University. Honestly I have been the beach a total of maybe five times, including the times when we've taken pictures there as a team. I was between three schools being recruited and Monmouth was the one that was closest to home, an hour and a half away, and the one that was most adaptable for me. I was originally a graphic design major, but as it turns out, I found that Monmouth has a great business school ever since I switched my major to business. Led the team with two sacrifice flies, while finishing second in doubles (6) and triples (3)… Ranked third on the team in slugging percentage (.440), on-base percentage (.380), home runs (2), walks (16) and hit-by-pitch (3), and fourth in in RBI’s (21)… Ranked fifth on the team with a .284 batting average, including a team-leading .356 in league games… Went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in the season opener at Norfolk State (Feb. 24)… Scored twice later in the day at Norfolk State (Feb. 24)… Hit a sacrifice fly and drove in two runs at George Mason (Mar. 8)… Doubled in consecutive games vs. Cornell (Mar. 9) and at Rider (Mar. 13), also getting hit by a pitch and scoring a run against the Broncs… Walked three times and scored a run at UCF (Mar. 20)… Singled and drove in a run at North Florida (Mar. 21) to spark a season-best five-game hitting streak… Had a two-run single in Game 1 against Bryant (Mar. 24), before going 2-for-3 in Game 2… Went 2-for-3 in Game 1 at Quinnipiac (Mar. 29)… Went 2-for-3 with a grand slam and two runs scored in Game 2 at Penn (April 3)… Went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI’s and two runs scored in Game 1 at Wagner (April 7) before scoring a run in Game 2… Had a double and an RBI in Game 2 vs. Central Connecticut (April 14)… Had a single, a hit-by-pitch and two RBI’s in Game 2 vs. Temple (April 17)… Went 4-for-8 with three doubles, a triple, a walk, a run scored and an RBI in a doubleheader at Mount St. Mary’s (April 20)… Singled, walked and scored twice in Game 2 at LIU Brooklyn (April 27)… Went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI’s in Game 1 against Saint Francis (April 28), before going 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Game 2… Had a triple, an RBI and a run scored in the Hawks’ victory at Robert Morris (May 10) in the NEC Tournament. 2012 (Junior):
Was the lone Hawk to see action in all 44 games, starting each contest at second base… Finished first on the team in runs scored (32), hits (52), doubles (10), home runs (10), total bases (94), walks (23), hit-by-pitch (4) and stolen bases (5)… Also among the team leaders in batting average (.359 – 2nd), slugging percentage (.648 – 2nd), on-base percentage (.459 – 2nd), RBI’s (23 – 3rd)… Had a team-high 16 multi-hit game, including three three-hit efforts… Went 2-for-2 with a home run, two walks and four RBI’s against Delaware (Feb. 25)… Added a 3-for-6 effort with two home runs, three runs scored and two RBI’s against the Blue Hens the next day… Had three-consecutive two-hit games against Liberty (Mar. 11), Texas Tech (Mar. 16) and Manhattan (Mar. 16)… Went 3-for-4 in the NEC opener against Sacred Heart (Mar. 24)… Went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs against Quinnipiac (Mar. 25)… Went 3-for-7 with a home run, three RBI’s and a run scored in a doubleheader at Robert Morris (Mar. 31)… Went 2-for-3 with a home run at Saint Francis (Pa.) Earned All-Northeast Conference First Team and the Coaches Award... Appeared in 33 games for Monmouth, making 31 starts... Had the second-highest batting average on the team at .333 (32-96)... Tied for second with 22 runs scored and stole five bases... led the team with two triples and was tied for third with six doubles... Went 2-for-3 against Morgan State (2/27) with a run scored...
