Respect * Pride * Commitment

Monmouth University's Cheerleading squad aims to unite the students, alumni and fans in support of Monmouth University and its athletes. We vow to honor old traditions, while continuing to spread Monmouth Pride throughout the school and community.

As a team, we will motivate and encourage each other to achieve our greatest potential and exceed our goals from the previous seasons. We recognize that this program is not built on one person, but on the hard work and dedication of the entire team.  We will practice and perform with heart, always giving 110%.  We will continue to lead by example and exhibit our respect for our teammates, our coach, ourselves and our University. Our dedication and commitment to Monmouth Cheerleading will be exemplified in our leadership both on and off the field.

We will strive to be our best and to make Monmouth Cheerleading an exemplary program across the nation.

Monmouth Cheerleading Community Service:

Monmouth University Cheerleading strongly believes in giving back to the community. In addition to supporting the Football team, Men's and Woman's Basketball teams, the Monmouth Cheerleaders participate in a number of community service events.

Making Strides against Breast Cancer

Make a difference. Make history. Make Strides
Since 2004, the Monmouth University Cheerleaders have annually participated in the Point Pleasant Breast Cancer Walk.  Every year we proudly wear our breast cancer awareness shirts, and raise funds to donate to the American Cancer Society. This year the walk will be on Sunday, October 18, 2009 with registration starting at 8 am and the walk beginning at 10am. For any additional information please contact cball@monmouth.edu or click on the link Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

The Big Event

"The Big Event has become somewhat of a national phenomenon at a number of colleges and universities throughout the United States"
Another annual community service event the Monmouth University Cheerleaders participate in is the Big Event. Through this program the cheerleaders are able to give back to the community that supports them throughout the year. Some services have included but are not limited to, cleaning rivers, churches, painting houses, cleaning/organizing the Madonna House, and helping at the Boy's & Girl's club. The 10th Annual Big Event will take place on October 17, 2009.  For additional information click on the link The Big Event.

Relay for Life

Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back
In 2008, Relay for Life joined the Monmouth University Campus in efforts to raise money and bring awareness to cancer. The Monmouth University Cheerleaders were fortunate enough to kick-off the opening ceremonies. This is a noble cause where participants camp-out over night, taking turns walking around the track helping to raise funds to fight cancer. If you are interested in participating in this event with the cheerleaders on April 23-24th please email cball@monmouth.edu and for more information please click on the link www.relayforlife.org.
