The Monmouth University women’s basketball team returns to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play Monday at 11 a.m. when it travels to Siena. The Hawks are coming off their second win in the last three games, a 64-56 victory over Canisius on Kid’s Day at the MAC. Meanwhile, Siena fell to Niagara, 76-70, on Friday evening.

SCOUTING THE SIENA SAINTS
Siena features a balanced scoring attack with four players averaging between 7.3 and 8.9 points per game, led by Kanika Cummings at 8.9 ppg. Tehresa Coles has also chipped in with 8.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.9 steals per game, while Meghan Donuhue has added 8.6 points per game on a team-best 57.1 percent shooting and 6.2 rebounds per game. Clara Sole Anglada has contributed 7.3 points per game to round out the Saints’ top scorers, while also grabbing 5.1 rebounds per game.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. SIENA
While the Hawks lead the all-time series with Siena, 6-2, the two teams have not squared off since February 26, 1986. Monmouth won the last four games in the series in the 1984-85 and 1985-86 seasons. Siena’s two wins came in February and December of 1984, while Monmouth won the first two meetings in December 1982 and January 1984.

LAST TIME OUT
Jasmine Walker nearly backed up her first-career double-double vs. Rider with her second in as many games, narrowly missing the feat with a career-high 14 points and nine rebounds as the Hawks defeated Canisius, 64-56, Friday afternoon at the MAC. Jamiyah Bethune (11) and Helena Kurt (10) also scored in double figures, while Sara English added eight points and eight rebounds.
