The Monmouth University women’s basketball team concludes play in the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Challenge Sunday morning at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass., when they take on Bowling Green State University. Monmouth is coming off a 52-43 loss to Boston University on Nov. 24, while the Falcons bounced back from a loss to Marist with consecutive wins against Old Dominion and Ohio State. The Hawks and Falcons have never met on the hardwood.  

SCOUTING THE BOWLING GREEN STATE FALCONS
Bowling Green features three players averaging between 12.0 and 12.6 points per game, led by Jillian Halfhill at 12.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Halfhill has done her scoring damage in part because of 45.5 percent (15-33) shooting from long range. Erica Donovan has also added 12.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, while Alexis Rogers has scored 12.0 points per game and grabbed 7.9 rebounds per game. Rogers has shot 46.7 percent (7-15) from three-point range. Miriam Justinger has also contributed 9.4 points and 3.0 assists per game. Jill Stein is the team’s leading rebounder at 9.9 boards per game, while chipping in 6.7 points per game.  

LAST TIME OUT
Boston University defeated the Hawks, 52-43, at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. on Nov. 24. Chevannah Paalvast led the Hawks with 14 points, while Helena Kurt added 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-of-4 from long distance, to go along with four assists. Sara English grabbed a team-high five rebounds. Mollie McKendrick led Boston University with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Danielle Callahan added 13 points. Sarah Hope chipped in with 10 points, whiel Rashidat Agboola added six points, seven rebounds and three assists.
