WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Head Coach Joe Compagni recaps the 2013 men's and women's cross country seasons, and gives a quick look ahead to the 2013-14 indoor track and field season in this video.

Compagni, in his 19th year at MU, discusses the stellar year that junior Khari Bowen (Monroe, N.J./Monroe Township) had. Bowen earned All-East honors, as well as being named an All-MAAC choice during the MAAC Championships on November 1.

He also touches on graduate student Amanda Eller (Millville, N.J./Millville), who steadily progressed through her time at Monmouth and ended up as one of the top runners on the team throughout the final season as a Hawk.

The 2013 Monmouth women's team saw a group of freshmen take the jump from high school to college, led by Lennon Cooper (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel), who was the top Monmouth finished multiple times this season. The class as a whole consistently had strong showings in the top-seven.

The men's cross country team only loses two runners going into next season, and do return senior captain Anthony Branco (Old Bridge, N.J./Matawan) for his final season. The men look to build on successes this season.

Finally, the indoor track and field season begins on December 7, with the Fifth Annual MAC Classic at The MAC in West Long Branch, N.J. Events are set to begin at 1 p.m.
