Full 2013-14 Monmouth Men's Basketball Schedule

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Monmouth University, in conjunction with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), has announced its 2013-14 MAAC Basketball ESPN Telecast Schedule. The Hawks, who are entering their first season as a member of the MAAC, will appear on the ESPN Family of Networks four times during the regular season, with three of those broadcasts coming at home.

The MAAC’s 2013-14 men’s and women’s basketball broadcast schedule will feature 47 nationally televised games on the ESPN networks, including 37 contests during the regular season and 10 more in the 2014 MAAC Championships.

Monmouth will open MAAC play with an ESPN3 broadcast of its battle with in-state rival Rider on December 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the MAC, while the Hawks' January 23 game versus Fairfield at home will also be on ESPN3 at 7:00 p.m.

The Blue & White's rematch at Fairfield on February 7 will either be at 7:00 p.m. on ESPNU or at 9:00 p.m. on ESPN3, while the Hawks' home game versus another in-state rival Saint Peter's on February 22 (7:00 p.m.) will also appear on ESPN3.

“We’re excited to present the 2013-14 MAAC TV schedule. Our partnership with ESPN continues to grow and evolve, and this year we’ll have a record number of games on their networks,” said Commissioner Richard J. Ensor, Esq. “Some of our top rivalry games are included in the schedule, and we’re also thrilled that we’ll have the highest number of women’s games televised. This schedule gives MAAC basketball great exposure, and it’s tremendous for fans and alumni of member institutions.“

A "wildcard" Friday is also on the schedule for February 28, as the MAAC will announce the matchups for the ESPN2/U broadcasts no later than seven days prior to the game.

In addition, all four quarterfinal matchups in the 2014 MAAC Basketball Championships, to be held in Springfield, Massachusetts, and both semifinals, will be broadcast on ESPN3. The MAAC Men's Basketball Championship Final, scheduled for Monday March 10, will air on either ESPN or ESPN2.

All of Monmouth's home games, except the games broadcast on television and ESPN3, are available on HawkVision through, which will be streamed in HD for the first time in 2013-14.

Following an exhibition game versus Le Moyne College on Sunday, November 3 at 4:00 p.m. in the MAC, Monmouth opens its 2013-14 campaign at Hofstra University on Friday, November 8 at the Mack Sports Complex.
