WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Monmouth University Department of Athletics is proud to announce the unveiling of a new logo for The Blue/White Club for the 2013-14 season. The new logo, which has been modernized to better support the Monmouth University Athletics brand, features a classic, yet contemporary look and features the department’s prominent ‘MU’ mark.
“With Monmouth Athletics set to begin a new chapter in its history, we felt it was time for The Blue/White Club to receive an updated, brand-focused look,” said Monmouth University Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Marilyn McNeil.
The Blue/White Club, founded in 1999, is a group of alumni, friends, trustees, parents, employees and students who share a passion for Monmouth University Athletics. Working in collaboration with the Office of University Advancement, The Blue/White Club strives to raise funds in support of Monmouth Athletics, enhance the NCAA Division I experience of the school’s student-athletes and provide greater opportunities for recruitment and visibility, both regionally and nationally.
“The first step in forming our new image was to focus on the visual representation of the club,” said Assistant Athletics Director for Sales and Development, Jon Roos. “We will be rolling out some exciting new elements that will enhance the donor’s personal experience with our athletics’ programs. We believe in setting the bar high for the future of The Blue/White Club so our teams and student-athletes have the resources to compete with and succeed against top-tier national programs.”
